Neck Diagrams on Apple Silicon processors

You’ve maybe heard about Apple removing Rosetta 2 from macOS 27 and ending support of Intel-based applications, or maybe you’ve seen a system notification like in the above screenshot. Now you’re wondering “Where’s the Apple Silicon version of Neck Diagrams then?” !
We don’t want to leave our Neck Diagrams community guessing about what this means for the app!
Neck Diagrams 2 currently runs fine on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, across every macOS version Apple currently supports, natively on Intel and via Rosetta 2 on Silicon processors. We’ve been working on building a Silicon-native version that won’t require Rosetta 2 and are aiming to release in time for macOS 27.
Apple tends to signal platform shifts early, and those notifications can sound more urgent than they actually are. In this case, there’s nothing to update, nothing to change just yet, and nothing that breaks. If we’re late with the new release (heaven forbid!!) then the safest thing if you depend on Neck Diagrams is to hold back from updating to macOS 27 when it’s released and bear with us.
If you’re using Neck Diagrams today, keep using it exactly as you have been. As things progress, this is where you’ll hear any news first…
